I’m Natalie, an anthropologist (PhD), educator, and lifelong food explorer with a passion for uncovering the stories behind what we eat. With over 20 years of teaching experience and a career that has taken me across continents, I bring a unique perspective to every recipe I share—one that blends cultural insight with practical, approachable cooking.

With a degree in catering, a PhD in education and a love of travel and cultural exploration, Darrell has extensive food, teaching and cultural experience. He brings a professional kitchen perspective to our work, along with the same global experience we’ve built together living and working in different countries.

This blog is where our love for food, culture, and storytelling come together. Having lived and worked in countries around the world, we’ve had the privilege of learning from home cooks, food artisans, and local communities—each one leaving a mark on how we understand and share food today. Whether it’s a humble street snack or a celebratory feast, we believe every dish carries a deeper history worth exploring.

We also offer hands-on cooking classes, both in-person and online, where we guide participants through techniques, traditions, and flavors from around the globe. My goal is to create a welcoming space where food isn’t just made—it’s experienced.
